Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Clean Sweep Services LLC for residential and commercial cleaning services across Portland, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, Happy Valley, and West Linn. Last updated January 21, 2026.
Thank you for booking your home cleaning with Clean Sweep Services. By booking a service with us, you agree to these Terms of Service. We look forward to providing you with excellent service.
Required Card on File
All billing is handled electronically through our trusted third-party payment processor, Stripe. For your security:
- We do not have access to your full payment method details
- Your card will be securely stored on file
- Charges are processed automatically after each cleaning
- Receipts are sent to the email address on file
A valid payment method is required to maintain active service. We reserve the right to cancel services if a valid card is not on file.
Card Authorization Hold
A temporary authorization hold for the total service amount will be placed on your card 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
- This is not a charge
- If the hold fails, we may cancel the service
- You will be notified via text, call, or email if action is required
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
24 hours' notice required
Late cancellations directly impact our cleaners' schedules and earnings.
- Less than 48 hours' notice: $50 fee
- Less than 24 hours' notice: 50% of the booking total
- Same-day cancellation: 100% of the booking total
All fees are charged to the card on file.
Rescheduling Policy
A valid payment method is required on file at the time of booking. If a cleaning is rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled service time and is subsequently canceled, a fee equal to 50% of the total service cost will be charged to the card on file. This fee is non-refundable.
Cleaner Reassignment Policy
Clean Sweep Services reserves the right to reassign cleaners as needed for any service. Reasonable notice will be provided when possible.

All service-related complaints must be submitted within 24 hours of service completion.

Right to Terminate or Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service at any time for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Safety concerns
- Weapons on premises
- Severe clutter or unsanitary conditions
- Disconnected utilities
- Inappropriate or threatening behavior
We do not clean or service:
- Hoarder homes
- Biohazards (feces, urine, blood, vomit, drug paraphernalia, etc.)
- Pest infestations
- Ladder work over 3 steps
- Unsafe or hazardous conditions
If a home is deemed unsafe upon arrival, cleaners may leave and applicable cancellation fees will apply.
Cleaning Day Preparation
Pricing assumes cleaners can focus fully on cleaning. Please ensure:
- Floors, countertops, and surfaces are accessible
- Personal clutter is picked up beforehand
Use of Homeowner's Vacuum
If you request use of your vacuum:
- We assume no liability for damage
- We are not responsible for repairs
- If non-functional, vacuuming may not be completed
Damage and Fragile Items Policy
Our cleaners take care when servicing your home. However: we are not responsible for items that break due to pre-existing wear, poor installation, loose fixtures, or items that cannot withstand normal cleaning pressure.
Unreachable Areas & Heavy Items
For safety reasons, cleaners do not move heavy furniture or use tall ladders. Please move items ahead of time if those areas require cleaning.
Non-Solicitation Agreement
Clients agree not to solicit, hire, or contract any Clean Sweep Services employee or contractor during service or for two (2) years after termination.
Violation results in:
- $3,000 liquidated damages fee
- Immediate service termination
- No refund obligation
Changes to Requested Services
All service changes must be approved by Clean Sweep Services prior to the appointment.
- Cleaners are not authorized to approve changes
- Requests must be submitted by 5:00 PM the day before service
100% Satisfaction Guarantee
If we miss something:
- Notify us within 24 hours
- Provide photos of missed areas
- We will return to re-clean affected areas
Claims after 24 hours may fall outside the warranty period.
We are not responsible for damage due to:
- Pre-existing wear and tear
- Improper installation
- Incorrect usage
Hourly Cleaning Services
Hourly services are based solely on time purchased.
- Completion of all tasks is not guaranteed
- Satisfaction guarantee does not apply
Flat-Rate Pricing
Flat rates assume a reasonable level of cleanliness.
If additional time is required:
- You will be contacted for approval
- Prices will never increase without consent
Arrival Windows
Arrival windows are approximately 2 hours. Delays due to weather, lockouts, or scheduling changes will be communicated promptly.
Holidays
We do not operate on:
- Independence Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve
- New Year's Day
Services Not Offered
We do not provide:
- Wet wiping of light bulbs
- Floor refinishing or waxing
- Upholstery cleaning
- Biohazard removal
- Large furniture moving
- Large-scale trash removal
Communication & Payment Responsibility
Clients must keep contact information up to date. Failure to pay may result in service termination or legal action.

Clean Sweep Services provides residential cleaning services. By opting into our SMS program, users may receive text messages related to:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Scheduling updates or changes
- Service-related notifications
- Billing or payment notices
- Customer support communications
Message frequency varies based on user interaction.
Opt-Out Instructions
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by texting STOP to (503) 850-0753. After you send STOP, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages unless you re-enroll.
Rejoining Instructions
To rejoin, sign up again through our website, booking system, or original opt-in method.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States of America.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
